I have a dreamsickle

er, I mean

I have a watering can. It is a pink elephant, bought on sale at Target for much less than it was worth. It is functional. It is cute. It has googly eyes.



It has become a common subject for my boredom shooting around the house. I like trying out new techniques with it, which I think sets some sort of baseline that changes can then be compared against (or at least, that's how I justify it).



Other people have common subjects too. Cats, children, that tree in the backyard.

So why the props? Why not all new things, exciting and different? What does that say about us?
